this is a simple method for a quadratic in the form \[ax^2 + bx + c = 0\] multiply a and c so 2*-5 = -10 find the factors of -10 that add to 9 ... so 10 ans -1 then write your solution in this form |dw:1360479945690:dw|

oh well... have a good look at the solution as it works in every case... all that is missing is the fact that you can cancel the common factor of 2 for the solution
