How to make a Good song ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can make a "good" song out of anything. The easiest way to make one though is to start off with a poem. I poem rhythms and has emotion in it which is exactly what a great song needs. Make sure that you put your heart and soul into your poem because all the great songs have emotion and a strong meaning. You have to have something to say and your song is where you can express yourself and let everyone know exactly what you're about. Once you have your words, try making a melody and see if it flows. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't right. In the end, it's all about how you feel about your song because it's your emotions and feelings, no one else's.

If you're up for creativity and want something different than poetry, try speaking in Haiku....Five, seven, then five - syllables make a kaiku.- It's not very hard.

It depends on the person really. Words are great, and that's a good way to send a message across but if you really want to impact someone and make them feel, you have to start out with a solid melody that gets stuck in your head until you get sick of it but you love it at the same time. Then right the harmony's, bass lines, and intricacies that will envelop and support your melody. This is probably the best way to be heard. Think about it, have you ever heard a crappy song and said to yourself, "oh, I'm gonna go look up those lyrics." Probably not.

Make a song using GarageBand music software. There's tutorials on YouTube. Upload a song through TuneCore then "hit the road" touring small bars and clubs if you can; just to build a fan base to sell your music to and make money.
