In a certain year, the amount A of garbage in pounds produced after t days by an average person is given by A = 3.5t

a) Graph the equation for t > 0

b) How many days did it take for the average person to produce 250 pounds of garbage.

Someone please help. I am not sure where to start

a) put a dot at the origin (0,0) Now, the next dot is rise/run away, so since 3.5/1 = 3.5 we do this.

So next, mark another dot at (3.5,1), now a draw a line for these two.

It should look like this:



b)

For this set the number of pounds needed equal to equation:

250=3.5t and solve for t for number of days.

For b) I divided both sides by 3.5 and I got 71.43=t (after rounding it)
Is that correct?
