Graph x2 + y2 = 9. What are its lines of symmetry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AravindG

OpenStudy (aravindg):

divide the whole equation by 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a circle :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct

OpenStudy (aravindg):

what do u get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did what @AravindG

OpenStudy (aravindg):

divide the whole equation by 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So technically it would have an infinite amount of lines of symmetry, as long as they pass though the origin.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright. The graph has like a circle & i just finished a lesson on this, but never really understood. So i'm 90% lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AravindG ?

Thanks
