I really need some guidance for this one. Sketch the region bounded by x^2+y^2=1, x+z=2, z=0.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

x^2 + y^2 = 1 Circle in the x-y plane. Cyllinder parallel to the z-axis z = 0 This is the x-y plan, so keep it in Octants I, II, III, and IV. x + z = 2 Plane that ignores the y-value. In the x-z plane, use your slope-intercept form to get a handle on it.

Thanks this should help out a lot. If you have the time to explain why the cylinder is parallel to the z-axis that would be great.
