Please help! What did Benjamin Franklin mean when he said that the Convention spent much of its time "sawing boards to make them fit"? Give at least two examples of the "boards" to which Franklin was referring.
What did Benjamin Franklin mean when he said that the Convention spent much of its time "sawing boards to make them fit"? Okay. I suspect you're talking about the \(\text{Philadelphia Convention.}\) What Benjamin Franklin meant when saying "sawing boards to make them fit" is: Boards = Constitution etc. Sawing =Changing Make them fit = Change the constitution to however they see fit. So basically changing government to however they wanted. \(\text{Give at least two examples of the "boards" to which Franklin was referring.}\) Some "boards" Franklin was referring too was: The treaty-making process. The structure of the national court system. The amendment process. The Constitution.
OMG thank you so very much! THANK YOU! I really do appreciate your help :)
