simplify (7t^2+9)+(6t^2+8)

OpenStudy (phi):

you can take away the parens 7t^2+9+6t^2+8 you are adding so you can change the order 7t^2+6t^2+9+8 you can put parens back in (7t^2+6t^2)+ (9+8) now you should know 9+8 and to do the t^2 terms: if you have 7 t^2 's and add 6 more, how many t^2's do you have ?

7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer choices are t2 + 1 13t2 + 17 13t4 + 17 42t2 + 72

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13t^2+17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because ..... 7t^2+9 + 6t^2+8 = 13t^2+17
