how do i solve this? Factor: x2 + 20x + 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you have to factor it, what two numbers multiply to 100 and add to 20?

OpenStudy (rosedewittbukater):

You have to find 2 number that multiply to become 100 and add up to equal 20. So 10x10=100, and 10+10=20. So use those and separate the equation into (x+10)(x+10). Since they are both x+10, you could either use that new expression or use (x+10)^2

oh ok i remember how to find it *facepalm thanks guys!
