PLEASE HELP :) What is the sum of an 11–term arithmetic sequence where the first term is 5 and the last term is 55?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just keep adding up the terms from 5 to 55, so 5+10+15+20...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so keep adding by 10's all the way to 55? I dont get it? :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay i got 330?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, keep adding by 5s. So you start with 5+(next term is 10) So you do 5+10, third term si 15 so: 5+10+15 and so on, until you hit 55.

And 330 is correct.
