How does a dialogue look like, how do you start it off?

Every time a new person speaks, there is a new paragraph. "Is everyone asleep?" the professor asked. Under my breath, "No, we are just dehydrated, daydreaming of water flowing down our throats." Staring down at his students he continues, " Let's get on with this section then." ...But i would like to add another thing. You are using two point-of-views. You are using third person and first.
