the thing is : the angle next to the 145 is obviously 35, and x equals both of the other angles (inside of the triangle). so we have 120+35 =155

The complementary angle of 145 = 180-145 = 35. That means the complementary angle of x must be 180 - 35 - 120 = 25, and thus x = 180 - 25 = 155.
