Mark drops a bouncy ball from a height of 7 feet above the ground. Each time the ball bounces off the ground, its maximum height decreases by 25%. Whats the maximum height the ball reaches at 0 bounces? 1,2,3,10, and then x number of bounces?
okai so if the ball's height decreases by 25% each time it bounces that means it can only bounce 4 times. Yes?
i don't know actually. I figured out that I take the initial maximum height and multiply it by .75 each time tho To be honest, rounding to the nearest tenth of a foot is why i can't seem to get my answers right.
What is the answer you're getting?
for 0, 7 for 1, 5.3 for 2, 3.9
I probably just have to take a closer look at what i'm rounding~
Okai so what you're going to do is take 7 and multiply it by .25 and you have your first bounce. Then you keep multiplying by .25 till you reach 0 bounces.
So your answer should probably be 0.
okay thank you for your help. I got my answers from the answer key though so I think times .75 is the preferred way. Regardless, thanks!
Oh sorry, wouldv'e been easier to figure out if it was a physics problem cuhs they give you all the info involved, and no problem c:
I'm not even sure how to give/get medals, but thank you for this~
haha just click best answer, that's all a medal is c:
