For an arts and crafts project, a student cut a triangle out of a rectangular piece of paper. If the triangle has a base of 6 inches and a height of 8 inches, and the rectangle has a length of 11 inches and a width of 12 inches, what is the area of the leftover paper after the triangle is cut out

area of triangle 6*8/2 = 24 inch , rectangle 11*12 = 132 inch leftover is just substraction
