What season was it when John died in We are seven?

The first and the fourth line give it away.
"And when the ground was white with snow"
This should be obvious. What season has the most snow?
"And he lies by her side."
The last line indicates his death. John is lying next to his sister in death.

Obviously i was in a hurry and my computer wasn't accesing the poem on the website my teacher gave me or on google. Way to jump to conclusions @mikaa_toxica13
