Help me with my thesis? I don't know how to start it.. >_<

For your first project, you are to write a five-paragraph essay about certain values and beliefs that you observe in yourself, your family, or your friends. Do you see any of the values and beliefs of the early American colonists?

The early American pioneers and often left Europe because of economic, religious and political persecution and once they had settled and inhabited the Americas, they felt that the remote British government was no longer relevant or responsive to their needs. They developed a concept that taxation should be commensurate with democratic representation and therefore withheld their taxes and rebelled.

The colonists did not want to pay taxes because they were not represented by Parliament and had no say so in the making of laws. They believed it was unfair for them to pay taxes with out representation. Hence the saying "No taxation without representation."
