For the following system, if you isolated y in the second equation to use the Substitution Method, what expression would you substitute into the first equation? 2x + y = 2 x − y = −6 a –6 − x b –6 + x c 6 – x d 6 + x

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

\[x-y=-6\]You want y alone on one side. You could add y to both sides, and add 6 (or subtract -6) to both sides. Do that, and you'll see which choice you should make.

6 + x @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Correct!
