160 percent of 1,825 is? Rounded to nearest tenth: I got 2920 but that can't be the answer because it can't be bigger then the 1825 number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To get 160%, you just multiply by 1.6. 1825 x 1.6 = 2920.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see that but the answer 2920 can't be bigger then 1825 so it can't be the 2920 answer. So there has to be another step I'm just not getting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It can be bigger than 1825. Only if it was less than 100% would it be smaller. 200% of 5 is 10.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

100% of 5 is 5. Anything over 100% is bigger than 5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is rather confusing the answer's I am given on the homework is from these 1,140.63 1,140.62 1,104.63 1,014.62 This is why I am confused I can't figure out how to create this problem with only these as the following answers that I am given so it has to be one of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure it's 160% of 1825?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I am positive unless the homework assignment is missing some part that's exactly what it's showing me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I finally got the correct answer it's 1,140.62 because your taking 1825/1.6 = which is 1,140.62 thank you for the help though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also wanted to add that after you get the 1,140.62 you can multiple it by 160% to get 1825. I hate math lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1825/1.6 does not find 160% of 1825. That finds the number that 1825 is 160% of.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 160% of 1,140.62 is 1825.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eh I hate math they don't want to make these questions simple at all
