??? if you're solving for z, then there's nothing to solve if you're solving for v that means you need to isolate v so its alone on one side the way you would this is, first you would have to move the w over to the right side this can be achieved if you subtract w to both sides i say both sides because you want to always make sure the equation is balanced, you cannot do something on one side and not do it to the other this would leave you with 5/9v on the left side in order to isolate v, you would have to multiple by the recipocal of 5/9 to both sides of the equation the reciprocal of 5/9 is 9/5 after doing that, you will have solved for v
