how to identify the slope and y-intercept of an equation

pooja195 (pooja195):

Change your equation to fit the formula y=mx+b. The m is the slope and the b is the y intercept How to turn it to y=mx+b: Try to get the y isolated on one side and the other side to be: blankx+blank I'll show u an example 2y-6=3x add six to both sides. Now it looks like this 2y=3x+6 Complete the isolation of the y by dividing everything by two y=3/2x+3 Done! 3/2 is your slope (rise over run) which means your line goes up three and to the right two. 3 is your y intercept REMEMBER the formula
