how many feet will it take you to stop while going 60 mph

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

0, if you run into something suitably massive. There's not enough information here...

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Very few people are able to stop a car from 60 mph in 180 feet. The car may be able to stop in 180 feet from the point the brakes are applied, assuming you aren't on a slippery road surface, but when you add in reaction time (all of which is spent moving down the road at 88 feet per second), a more realistic number is 300 feet.
