The table lists the percentage of households that were 3 person households during selected years.
Year: 1970 1980 1990 2000
Percent: 17.2 17.5 17.3 16.6
Part a) what is the percentage in 2000
Part b) calculate average percent

part a), you're just reading a value from the table

then you divide by 4

that would only apply if you have the decimal place out to 4, 5, 6, ... places

ex: if you had something like 17.1512345 you would round it to 7.151
