A balloon is filled with helium gas. What will happen as the average kinetic energy of the helium particles increases?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if you know your kinetic theory of gases.. you would know that as kinetic energy is increasing, the temperature would be increasing as well.. now as temperature increases what would happen?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The gas atoms will strike the sides of the balloon more often?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.. thats true.. so if the striking increases what macroscopic physical quantity increases?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:-/.. you did learn kinetic theory of gases?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you need to study that first before trying to answer this question!

i can't I'm home schooled
