what do you want to know , what is the value where the function is zero?

OpenStudy (zpupster):

factor: (x+3)(x^2-16) =0 (x+3)(x+4)(x-4)=0

OpenStudy (zpupster):

soory that is (x-3)(x+4)(x-4) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let x=3 it makes the function zero. f(3)=0 it means x-3 is a factor of f(x). divide the f(x) by x-3 then factorize you will find the value of x.
