-7(n-4)-5n=124

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute the \(-7\) in front\[-7n+28-5n=124\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you can combine the \(n\)'s on one side and the rest on the other side\[-12n+28-28=124-28\]which becomes\[-12n=96\]then divide both sides by -12\[\frac{-12n}{-12}=\frac{96}{-12}\]then you will get the answer!
