Can anybody explain how 'factoring a perfect square trinomial' works? please 25w^2-20w+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer is (5w - 2)(5w - 2) this is because the 25w^2 has a perfect square and so does 4. so the square roots of each of them goes in the ()'s.... then you just need to find your signs! Hope this helped... Message me if you need more help!
