well looking at y = 3/(4x - 12) the vertical asymptote exists where 4x - 12 = 0 you need to solve for x y = 1/x has a vertical asymptote at x = 0 both graphs has a horizontal asymptote at y = 0, or the y- axis... the file shows the 2 graphs
