2x - 4y = 1 Can you show me the steps to graph this equation?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

This is one way of doing it. The equation 2x - 4y = 1 represents a straight line. If you plot two points of the line, then you can connect them and extend the line, and you'll have your graph. Make a table with x and y values. Then plot two points and connect them. Two easy points to get are the x-intercept and the y-intercept. Let x = 0, and solve for y to get the x intercept. Let y = 0 and solve for x to get the y intercept. x | y --------- 0 | | 0 Fill in the table above. Then plot the points.
