OpenStudy (comm.dan):

How do you write a topic sentence for a single body paragraph that supports your thesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it depends on what you are writing about. usually it talks about what you will be talking about in the paragraph or it introduces the paragraph

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Ok it is about comparing the story Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keys and the movie, Charly directed by Ralph Nelson.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just come up with a sentence that explains what you will be talking about. i cannot give you a sentence because i have never read those books.

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Ok What do you think it should be about? Here I will give you a little summary of each First, Flowers for Algernon there is a man whose real name is Charles, who tries everything possible to get smarter. And then the movie, Charly, a man named Charlie Gordon isn’t smart as other people, and to get smarter he was selected to receive a surgery called artificial intelligence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well lets try to think of something based on the fact that in both stories then men were trying to become smarter.

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

They are both the same man

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

From both the story and the movie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so its just a movie version of the story?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or am i wrong here?

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

I'm done with the first paragraph

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

It is both the movie and the story, I am supposed to compare them and have to write it in MLA format.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that should be easy how many paragraphs do you need?

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

3

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

One is already done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then one should be a run down of the gerneral story second paragraph should be similarities third should be differences

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Here I will tell u the format that I have to follow 1. Intro Paragraph 2. Only Body Paragraph 3. Conclusion Paragraph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok that puts a twist on things

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Here is the notes that I am following to help me This is three notes

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

And these notes contain nothing hazardous like viruses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm i dont download files

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

It doesn't work on your PC or Mac

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Ok then I will think of something and then tell you so then u can give me ur opinion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its just i dont trust files like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sounds good

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Alright That is totally fine by me

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Do you want to see my thesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um you can send a screenshot

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Because in the notes for body paragraph it says that my topic sentence has to support my thesis and tell what the body paragraph is about I can't take a screenshot on my PC, I will copy and paste my thesis for you to see.

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

Both the book, Flowers for Algernon, and the movie, Charly are similar in ways, I believe that Charly goes more into depth than does Flowers for Algernon.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is my edit take it or leave it ^_^ ---------------------------------------------------------- Both the book, Flowers for Algernon, and the movie, Charly are similar in ways. I believe that Charly goes further into depth than Flowers for Algernon does.

OpenStudy (comm.dan):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on a scale of 1-10 i would rate my self as an 8.5 ^_^ not the best but good

OpenStudy (comm.dan):
