OpenStudy (anonymous):

The voussoirs rest on the centering until the keystone is wedged into place. At that point, the centering can be dismantled. What does the word dismantled mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

taken apart ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dismantled means to take apart, but not in a violent way. It's like, taking a screwdriver and opening up that ol' electronic thing to try and fix it, y'know?

Furthermore, dictionaries help a lot in these kinds of situations. Opening up Dictionary.com, slapping that word in the search bar and hitting enter, it gives a good definition right there.

OpenStudy (aperez):

Dismantle- Taken apart, or tear down.
