suppose you roll two dice, find the probability of rolling a sum of 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope its 1/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The possible values giving a sum 9 are (3,6), (4,5), (5,4),(6,3) thus number of values is 4 and total number of possible values on rolling two dice is 36 ( (1,1),(1,2)......(6,5),(6,6)). Hence 4/36 which is 1/9.

First Write down the sample space

because think you have 6,3 5,4 it is 2/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):
