Show all work and clearly explain your reasoning and answer. An insurance salesperson earns a salary of $4,200 per month plus a commission of 3% of sales. How much must the salesperson sell to have a monthly income of at least $4,500?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you need to make $300 in commission to reach $4,500. If you are making 3% commission you need to sell at least $10,000 because 10,000 x .03 = 300

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To show work I'd do 4,500 - 4,200 = 300 3% = .03 300/.03 = 10,000 10,000 x 3% = 300.
