- what are the similarities of theater and film in terms of sounds, lighting, performance, acting and rehearsals? - answer my question please? please? please?

Coming from someone who used to attend a fine arts academy for theatre -- I can tell you there are only a few differences. Movies usually dont use a fly system considering there isn't usually a set "stage" to work on, and if they do use a fly itll be for a few certain things because now adays we usually just use robotics or greenscreens. Movies rehearse a lot less, its more of a memorization thing. Movies can redo a scene over and over and obviously if you're on stage you cant. Sound and lighting will usually be much much more work in actual theatres, considering movies will usually go in and edit what they want to see or hear in. The main difference is just the whole live audience thing, makeup, props, lighting, sounds, and special effects have you be done at the moment and at the correct place, movies have a LOT of wiggle room compared to actual theatre.
