i think people are using os as some answer giver people just ask for an answer and thats not the point!!

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Yeah, and we try to prevent that, but sometimes we miss the questions :/

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Rather obnoxious really. Most of the time, all I see is ANSIRS PLIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

pooja195 (pooja195):

yeah but isnt there a better way to prevent this??

pooja195 (pooja195):

evey time someone asks a question all they ask for is answer thats stupid

OpenStudy (aravindg):

of course this is not how OS is supposed to work ..if u see anyone giving away answers feel free to press the "report abuse" button. If its a newbie point out to him/her the code of conduct ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're supposed to report that stuff cause it's against the CoC or whatever.

OpenStudy (blues):

Asking for answers and giving them is against OpenStudy's Code of Conduct, as well as against everything the site is and stands for. As you note, some students and some tutors don't follow this policy very well. While suggestions on how to deal with this problem are always, always appreciated, I have found that the only real way is to lead by example and encourage others to do the same. One of the most rewarding things on OpenStudy is watching peoples' progression, from answer-givers to actual teachers as they figure out how to help without giving answers. Or progress from answer-askers to people who actually know their stuff and figure out how to teach it to others.
