Given that triangle ABD is congruent to triangle CBD, find the measure of angle DBC.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well 1st off.. you need to solve for x the easiest solution is Angle ABD = 90 so then 90 4x + 10 solve for x when you have x you can calculate angle DCB then DBC can be found by angle sum of a triangle.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

oops should read 90 = 4x + 10

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

its an interesting as I don't think the correct solution is listed...

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the answer for angle DCB is there, just not angle DBC how frustrating lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't the answer 59? Thats what I kept getting but it isn't listed?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah it's 59

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I agree with @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I hate my school -.-

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats what it should be based on the information...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so someone has made a typo of some sort...

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

angle DCB is 31 degrees so if there's a typo and they meand DCB instead of DBC, then that would make sense

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

otherwise, who knows what they meant

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

meant*
