OpenStudy (aonz):

If y=log a(3) simplify log a(27a^5) (this is original question btw)

OpenStudy (aonz):

i think its 3y something

OpenStudy (aonz):

oh yes please explain how to do this step by step. I think i only needs one step though

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Is this correct? \[y=\log_a 3\]

OpenStudy (aonz):

ill write full quesiton above

OpenStudy (aonz):

yes thats correct

OpenStudy (aonz):

i worked it out up to 3log a(3a^5)

OpenStudy (ash2326):

ok, so we have \[\log_a {27a^5}\] Use addition property of log to separate 27 and a^5

OpenStudy (aonz):

oh didnt think of that :P

OpenStudy (aonz):

pff silly me.... my bad

OpenStudy (ash2326):

I think you can do it, solve it through and then post your answer. I'll check it

OpenStudy (aonz):

wait if we seperate it would be 3log a 3 + log a a^5? 3log a 3 + log a 3a^5?

OpenStudy (aonz):

which one would it be?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

first one, why do you have doubt?

OpenStudy (aonz):

mhm lol idk

OpenStudy (aonz):

3y + 5 is the answer? :D
