multiply each item!\[(x^2+3xy-5y^2)(7x^2+4xy+2y^2)\]first, multiply \(x^2\) and \(7x^2\), then \(x^2\) and \(4xy\), then \(x^2\) and \(2y^2\). secondly, multiply \(3xy\) by \(7x^2\), then \(3xy\) and \(4xy\), then \(3xy\) and \(2y^2\) finally, multiply \(-5y^2\) by \(7x^2\) then \(-5y^2\) and \(4xy\), then \(-5y^2\) and \(2y^2\) After doing all that, add them all together :)
