The pilot of an aircraft wishes to fly due west in a 36.8 km/h wind blowing toward the south. The speed of the aircraft in the absence of a wind is 190 km/h.10.90° north of west. What should its speed relative to the ground be?

we need to fly in west direction so resultant velocity should be in west and hence velocity due to wind in south should cancel out with velocity componenet in north. hence x sin 10.9 = 36.8 find x , the speed of the plane
