5 reds, 12 blues, 10 browns, 7 yellows, 9 greens, 13 tan = 56 pieces of candy.
The red candy makes up 5/56
The blue candy makes up 12/56 = 6/28 = 3/14
The brown candy makes up 10/56 = 5/28
The yellow candy makes up 7/56 = 1/8
The green candy makes up 9/56
The tan candy makes up 13/56

check...5/56 + 12/56 + 10/56 + 7/56 + 9/56 + 13/56 = 56/56 = 1 bag of candy.
