how can i eliminate the fractions in this equation 2/3x + 4/5y =20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can eliminate the fraction by multiplying the equation by the lowest common denominator of 3,5, and 1. Do you know what the lowest common denominator is ?

15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. Now multiply the equation by 15. (15)2/3x + (15)4/5y = (15)20 can you do that ?
