Is there a drawing?  Should we be looking at a triangle?  Is it supposed to be "y-40"?

That might be closer.  Now the y is an x and we're down to one variable.

Now, we have to figure out what that second piece is.  Have you EVER seen an expression with TWO equal signs in it?  It's pretty unusual.  You're going to have to explain what that means.
