is that all you know for the problem? I havent exactly taken Diff-eq yet

@jay., is there any chance you made a typo and meant to write
\[y^2y''+2y(y')^2=1?\]
That would make this much easier to solve, I think.

no it is 2y^2y"+2y(y')^2=1
