OpenStudy (anonymous):

The theory of evolution states that complex life forms evolved from simple organisms. Which of these statements best validates the theory?

OpenStudy (fellowroot):

If you look at the DNA of complicated organism and compare it with the DNA of earlier and simpler organisms certain portions of the DNA in the complicated organisms is a very close match to the simpler ones.

OpenStudy (fellowroot):

Also organisms that evolved from other more simple organisms can only try and build upon the biological foundation in which they have inherited. So the complicated life forms will have many traits and similarities in common with the more simpler organisms.

OpenStudy (fellowroot):

Also complexity arises later on in evolution. It wouldn't make any sense if human beings were to be the first living creature on the Earth. Things have simplistic beginnings. Which is easier to make, a singled cell organism or a very complex multicelled organism?
