a health food store mixes granola that costs $4 per pound and raisins that cost $2 per pound together to make a total of 25 pounds of raisin-granola. how many pounds of raisins should they include if they want the mixture to cost a total of $80?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is all about setting up two equations and solving for one answer.... so you know that the combination of granola an raisins together will equal 25 pounds and can represent that in an equation : \[G+R = 25\]

And then secondly you can set up and equation for the price.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4g+ 2r = 80

and then use any method to solve for single variables with those two equations. Do you know how to do that?

yeah thanks!!
