a wheelchair ramp at a certain campus is designed so that every vertical rise of 1 foot is accompanied by a horizontal run of 13 feet. What is the grade of such a ramp? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a percent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Grade is just your slope which is defined as rise over run. You have a rise of 1 for every run of 13 feet. Just divide 1 by 13 and you have your slope. To change it to percent, just multiply your result by 100.

so i should get 0.07 correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 7% rather?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are asked to round to the nearest tenth of a percent. I get 7.7%
