I need a little help here. The problem is supposed to be simplified to the lowest terms. a^2/a + 5b - 25b^2/a + 5b The denominators are alike, but the numerators are not. Just so I do not confuse anyone I am working with fractions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Subtract numerators and keep the denominator... (a^2-25b)^2/(a+5b) now factor the top and see what you can do after that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a^2-25b^2)****

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer would be (a-5b)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep
