Onesies are 99 cents each. How many can I buy? HELP!!

dividing would be the shortest and easiest way....I suppose you could add .99 over and over till you get to $20 without going over. You could set it up as an equation bu that involves division. Basically you are wanting to know how many times .99 goes in 20 without going over.
.99x = 20 (x being the number of onesies)
.99x/.99 = 20/.99 (divide both sides by .99 to get x by itself)
x = 20 and that would leave you with 20 cents change. (20 x .99 = 19.80)
