Choose the correct first step(s) to solve the system using elimination. 4x + 7y = 6 and 6x + y = 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x + 7y = 6 6x + y = 2 you can either multiply the second equation by - 7 and cancel out the y's or you can multiply the first equation by 3 and the second equation by -2 to cancel out the x's. Either way will get you started in the right direction.
