find the area of a rectangle when the height "h" is 6.2ft and the base "b" is 7ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just multiply them :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

43.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my answer was 43.4 sq ft. - professor marked it wrong????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 x 6 = 42... 7 x 0.2 = 1.4, add them together and you get 43.2. you were 0.2 off.

OK thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait no. 42 + 1.4 = 43.4. You were right from the beginning. Your teacher must have misread your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was 0.2 off :P

I just checked notes again - I missed putting on the "sq ft". Thanks for getting back to me!
