Can someone help me with Radicals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4\sqrt{x-5-8=12}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you are starting with \[4\sqrt{x-5}-8=12\] add 8 to both sides gives \[4\sqrt{x-5}=20\] divide by 4 to get \[\sqrt{x-5}=5\] square both sides get \[x-5=25\] one more step

That means the final answer is 20, correct?
