Identify the center and intercepts of the conic section. Then find the domain and range. PLEASE HELP (PICTURE BELOW)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 , @terenzreignz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this problem you do strictly by your eyeballs, since you have no equation to work with that should actually make it easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can see that the center of the circle is \((0,0)\) right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol i was staring at it for a while but looking back and forth from the answers i just don't know which one to pic. & yes correct ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and also that the radius of the circle is 6, since it goes through \(( 6,0)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lets see what it asks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i don't see (6,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the center is \((0,0)\) so ignore choice A and B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C and D are identical except for the domain and range answer the domain is for the \(x\) values, so pick the one that says the domain is \(\{x|-6\leq x\leq 6\}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry . one second let me check @satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait!! they are both wrong!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what c & d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah they are both wrong the domain is for \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so now im confused. Its a & b now right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it doesn't make any sense to write \[\{x|-6\leq y\leq 6\}\] because that \(y\) should be an \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no A and B have the wrong center

OpenStudy (anonymous):

danggit. So what is the answer its not c & d not a & b . . . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can see that the center is \((0,0)\) not \((6,6)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can only guess that there is a typo somewhere here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's not good. because i can't get this wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last answer is wrong because it says the domain is \(\{y|-6\leq y\leq 6\}\) but that is the RANGE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course the answer isn't d .; but its between b & c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the third answer is wrong because it says the domain is \[\{x|-6\leq y\leq 6\}\] but that doesn't even make sense since there is an \(x\) in the front and a \(y\) inside

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B has the wrong center

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am going to guess that this is a typo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is it A ? This problem just really threw me off.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no A has the wrong center there is no correct answer is this an on line course?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is a typo, and C is supposed to be correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I honestly don't know. What i just posted was the whole question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean do you have to answer on line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you mean ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 are we skipping this problem ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is C my answers ?
